Genovese’s Italian Kitchen


Genovese’s Italian Kitchen has been a staple in the Alhambra community since 1981. The restaurant Genovese’s was founded by the Genoveses family and was then purchased by
Chef Aricia Alvarado in 2018.

Chef Aricia started her restaurant journey many years ago after finishing culinary school. While working on her internship at the famous Parkway Grill in Pasadena, she met her husband, Chef Hugo Molina, the restaurant’s executive chef, and shortly after, they became not just life partners but also business partners of their own restaurant. Together, they have a combined experience of over 50 years in various types of restaurants and hospitality.

While Chef Aricia and Chef Hugo maintained the restaurant’s original menu, they also added new items such as their apple curry salad, Tuscan salad, shrimp scampi, and vast pizza and pasta dishes — made fresh and in-house. Every item on their menu uses only the best ingredients and is made from scratch including their dressings and sauces.
