About

Burgers and More started back in 2012 when owner, Rola Elhurr’s family acquired Burgers Etc. Her brother was the primary owner in 2012 while she worked there as the manager. As her brother left the businesses at the beginning of 2020 to pursue an online venture, Rola officially took over on February 25th of 2020, just weeks before businesses were shut down at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was definitely not in my plans but I worked hard and stayed open throughout. It has been a struggle as it has been for everyone, but we are just very grateful to have made it through so far.  I am continuing to fix up, remodel and incorporate new marketing features for Burgers and More. I want to keep the retro style mom and pop feel but introduce and include new ways to reach people and keep our loyal customers coming back.

Unfortunately, the restaurant’s back supply room was caught in a small fire in 2020, which caused them to close down for 4 months. “Due to Covid, many constructions and not many people knew what happened and thought we had closed due to Covid. It was amazing to see how many people came back when we reopened in November 2020. Through Covid and other health issues, 2 of our original cooks retired (were not fired). And I know many people thought it was new ownership and we got rid of all our old cooks,
this was not the case.”, Rola added.

When asked about the restaurant’s history, Rola highlighted that their location used to be a Taco Bell location. “The property owner, Farhat Eid, acquired the property back in 1979. It used to be a Taco Bell. He turned it into “Burgers Etc.” This is what many people knew about Burgers and More as before it changed names. Starting in 1980, Burgers Etc. attracted many locals because of its big menu, large portions, and affordable prices. In 2012, Farhat was looking for new owners of the restaurant as his previous owner had left. My mom was good friends with Farhat’s brother, Ted, who worked at a car dealership and we acquired all of our cars with him. Once we heard about this little gem, we were excited to see if this would be a good fit for our family. The name was changed to Burgers and More in 2012. My family and staff have worked hard to continue the essence of great food, served fresh, fast, and with love.”, Rola explained.

Burgers and More has always stayed true to the roots of Burgers Etc., they have kept the same items that have been with the restaurant from the start. The restaurant’s goal now is to make everything feel welcome like family, and serve a nice delicious meal that they can relax with and forget their troubles during that time, “All our customers are so important to me and all my employees. Just know we are working very hard to be better and better and I hope at least you love our food enough to stay with us. And with these difficult times, it’s more important than ever to support your local restaurants. We are honored and grateful to have your support.” business owner, Rola added.

The restaurant has since launched its own online delivery website www.orderburgersandmore.com for customers to have an easier and more accurate way to order directly with them. As a part of their revamp, Rola is also encouraging customers to stay tuned as the restaurant launches new promotions, items, and loyalty programs.

“Thank you all for your continued support and loyalty for all these years. I know some of you have been coming since you were teenagers and now come in with your kids. It’s so sweet and rewarding to see the love that so many people have for Burgers and More.”
