The story of The Boiling Crab traces back to Seadrift, a small town in Southeastern Texas. This charming coastal community, with its population of only 2000, was home to Yo’Daddy and his family of dedicated crabbers and fishermen. Throughout the year, they tirelessly worked on their boats, catching an abundance of oysters, crabs, and shrimp for the thriving seafood industry. However, amidst their toil, the men found solace in their beloved weekend tradition—a time to relish in the fruits of their labor. They would gather together, boil crawfish and crabs, shuck raw oysters, grill fresh fish, all while savoring a cold beer in hand.

In 1995, Yo’Daddy’s life changed forever when he encountered his ultimate catch, Yo’Mama. Hailing from the Midwest, Yo’Mama, a quintessential Kansas girl, had limited exposure to the delicacies of seafood—until she met Yo’Daddy. However, she possessed an innate ability to bring friends and family together for joyous occasions filled with abundant and delectable food. And one thing was for certain—Yo’Mama knew how to eat!

Fueled by their shared love for enjoyable gatherings, warm hospitality, and a passion for outstanding seafood, Yo’Daddy and Yo’Mama decided to open the first Boiling Crab in 2004. They aimed to provide their patrons with a taste of the lively atmosphere and mouthwatering delights of a backyard crab feast right in their own neighborhood. Their dream was to establish The Boiling Crab as the ultimate destination for an unparalleled seafood experience, featuring the “best tail in town” and an ambiance reminiscent of the spirited crawfish boils and head-sucking festivities found along Mississippi. With hard work and dedication, Yo’Daddy and Yo’Mama turned their vision into a reality.
