Tapioca Express is a restaurant all about spreading the love for that tasty treat beloved by just about every Alhambra resident—boba.
By now, you know that boba tea is a Taiwanese delicacy. But did you know that Tapioca Express was one of the first venues to serve boba tea in the United States? Founded in the San Gabriel Valley in 1999, this is one of the oldest tapioca tea franchises in the country! That’s how you know they do boba the right way.
Like most local tea shops, you can still quench your thirst if you’re not in the mood for boba. Tapioca Express features a delicious assortment of drinks on its menu, including coffee, slushies, and juices. Food inspired by Korean street vendors is also on the menu, so don’t forget to pair your drink of choice with their delicious popcorn chicken or another tasty snack!
Like any friendly neighborhood spot, Tapioca Express is accessible to all, with bicycle parking, gender-neutral bathrooms, and wheelchair accessibility. Visit the Alhambra location at 228 W Valley Blvd to enjoy excellent Taiwanese boba tea and other drinks hand-crafted from fresh ingredients. Tapioca Express is open for lunch and dinner six days a week. Closed Mondays.
