About
Chef Yun opened Pokestuf during the height of the pandemic in August 2020. The former owner of this restaurant handed down Alhambra’s Poke bowl spot to its new owners as they believe they will maintain their good reputation in the city. Amidst the challenges of a pandemic, this establishment has flourished under the skilled hands of Chef Yun, a seasoned chef with three decades of culinary expertise.
With decades of experience in cooking Korean and Japanese cuisines, Chef Yun runs both Pokestuf in Alhambra and Rolland in San Gabriel at the Blossom Market Hall. Before opening these restaurants, he used to serve Japanese fusion-style sushi rolls at the farmer’s market and pop-up events. Throughout his career, he has taken pride and joy in committing to serving his customers with the best quality of food.
At Pokestuf, the ethos is simple: freshness, variety, and affordability. The menu boasts a variety of appealing options, catering to diverse palates and dietary preferences. Whether you’re a fan of traditional poke bowls or seeking a unique bowl set, Pokestuf provides endless combinations with their famous eight handcrafted sauces that elevate the flavors of every meal they serve.
Poke is traditionally served with diced raw fish marinated in dressing, and served on top of a base (usually with rice or noodle). Pokestuf has perfected this unique Native Hawaiian dish and has since established itself as the only spot to serve the best cuts of fish and unique salad dressings. The restaurant has become one of the great places for locals to go and eat with their friends and family. Many patrons have highlighted the freshness of their bowls, their quantity, as well their friendly and fast service.
Visit Pokestuf to experience the perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and quality. Whether you’re a seasoned poke enthusiast or new to this delightful dish, Pokestuf promises an experience that will leave you coming back for more.
