The Michelin Guide has released its 2025 list of the restaurants so this is a great time to remind everyone what we have locally that is Michelin recognized. As the gateway city to the SGV, Alhambra is home to a whopping six restaurants that are Michelin notable.
A destination for foodies, the city welcomes your palate to a feast with restaurants labeled as Bib Gourmand. For context, the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award is given to places that are shown to have good, easy-to-eat food at a reasonable price that leaves you satisfied.
So if you’re in the mood for tea-smoked duck, or big mouth ginger frog, hop on down to Sichuan Impression for a flavorful meal that may leave your tongue numb from the explosion of flavor.
If you’re longing for some dim sum, Lunasia Dim Sum House can satisfy your craving with their lobster rice wrappers and classic egg tarts without having to worry about bumping into dim sum carts.
If you’re in the mood for something tamer, Jiang Nan Spring has Shanghai food that will fill your taste buds with tender chicken seasoned with sweet wine sauce or try their fresh seafood like their fried tilapia.
If your palate is feeling more adventurous and ready to go on a ride, check out Chengdu Taste for a spicy, sinus-clearing array of dishes including their signature Toothpick Lamb or Crispy-Crusted Beef.
And last but certainly not least, if you haven’t tried Malaysian food and don’t mind waiting in line, check out Ipoh Kopitiam. This popular restaurant is famous for their Hainanese chicken and “char kway teow,” flat rice noodles with Chinese sausage.
Another restaurant that is mentioned in the Michelin Guide but did not receive a label is Henry’s Cuisine. Henry’s is a Chinese restaurant known for their lobster along with other specialties like fried shrimp with salted egg and deep-fried salted pig’s feet.
With the great selection of restaurants just mentioned and many more that are in Alhambra, get moving and start eating!
